lyrics
Beyond this mortal coil
Beyond the realm of man
Into the abyss
This godforsaken land
Tainted, rancid souls
Roam this plane of damned
Banished, by your God
Where’s your savior now?
Parish
Torture
Anguish
Molest
Defile
Suffer
Torn, from the light
Consumed by the dark
Infernal treachery
Through this immortal plight
Into the flames
Your spirit, eternal burned
Scorch, melted, ripped from flesh
Affliction evermore
You broke His laws
Now thrown into
The jaws of Hell
Unrest in discord
Now cast into
The mouth of fire
And brimstone you feel
Slaughter of the Soul!
Torn, from the light
Consumed by the dark
Infernal treachery
Through this immortal plight
Into the flames
Your spirit, eternal burned
Scorch, melted, ripped from flesh
Affliction evermore
Torn, from the light
Consumed by the dark
Infernal treachery
Through this immortal plight
Into the flames
Your spirit, eternal burned
Scorch, melted, ripped from flesh
Affliction evermore

I've waited decades to hear something that moved me like this. it's even better than most of the Gothenburg bands that inspired it. flawless album, moved me to tears. wrestingmayhem

All of the instruments flow very well together, just like any melodic black metal album should. Really nice to listen to overall, lyrics are great, and pretty solid writing structure. Highly recommended listen. Can't wait for more! Drew Johnson
These California up-and-comers don't merely pay tribute to ’90s death metal; they make it their own by taking charge and letting it rip. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 21, 2024

I am not a big fan of EPs and I only buy them when there are no fillers on it. This is the case here. "The Loss of All Hope" is strong, varied and dynamic from beginning to end and shows me why melodic death metal used to be one of my favourite genres in the 90s. The opener "Transfiguration" has nice clean vocals in it, "Boundless" could be from Amon Amarth, "Rotten to the Core" has a lot of energy but is not so catchy as the rest like the thrilling end track "Enclosed in Crystals of Ice".
