lyrics
You tell me to open my mind
You misguide
Now I strike
Down your thoughts
And cast out your lies
All of this “madness”
I choose to implore
There’s more method
Than reckless
I only crave more
I hold you down to keep me up
You’re nothing more
Than my instrument for drudge
I feed you nothing short of lies
Denial’s blindfold
My key to climb
It has to be this way
You’ll fall before me
You try to push me away
But now, you’re mine
This world never seems to suffice
I will not
yield your view
Not ashamed…in killing what holds me
You’ll stand here before me,
then you’ll pay the price
Like the rest of the cowards
Who tried to be heard
I hold you down to keep me up
You’re nothing more
Than my instrument for drudge
I feed you nothing short of lies
Denial’s blindfold
My key to climb
It has to be this way
You’ll fall before me
You try to push me away
But now, you’re mine
It has to be this way
You’ll fall before me
You try to push me away
But now, you’re mine
You try to push me away
But now, you're mine

I've waited decades to hear something that moved me like this. it's even better than most of the Gothenburg bands that inspired it. flawless album, moved me to tears. wrestingmayhem

All of the instruments flow very well together, just like any melodic black metal album should. Really nice to listen to overall, lyrics are great, and pretty solid writing structure. Highly recommended listen. Can't wait for more! Drew Johnson
These California up-and-comers don't merely pay tribute to ’90s death metal; they make it their own by taking charge and letting it rip. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 21, 2024

I am not a big fan of EPs and I only buy them when there are no fillers on it. This is the case here. "The Loss of All Hope" is strong, varied and dynamic from beginning to end and shows me why melodic death metal used to be one of my favourite genres in the 90s. The opener "Transfiguration" has nice clean vocals in it, "Boundless" could be from Amon Amarth, "Rotten to the Core" has a lot of energy but is not so catchy as the rest like the thrilling end track "Enclosed in Crystals of Ice".
